Rose Festival's Free Weekend Offers
May 18, 2011
Although the official opening of Rose Festival CityFair is more than a week away, great events continue this weekend. The Rose Building Open House is part of the History & Roses Tour presented by Windermere, and guests will have the chance to tour the Rose Festival's new home at Waterfront Park from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. while enjoying cookies and beverages, including a wine tasting hosted by Oak Knoll Winery. See the Crown of Rosaria, vintage princess dresses and even the shaving mug that belonged to Rose Building architect, John Yeon! Every guest will get a free postcard and a two-for-one offer for a Rose Meal at Elmer's Restaurants.
And speaking of Elmer's, Sunday morning is a good day to take the kids to breakfast! The Elmer's Restaurant on Mill Plain Blvd. in Vancouver is offering a Pajama Party, where kids can come-as-they-are and get a free meal. The Rose Festival's Clown Prince will be on hand to sign autographs and give out free clown noses (as they last) from 10:00 a.m. to noon. (See the coloring sheet poster below.)
