Rose Festival Unveils 2010 Signature Art at Renovated Waterfront Offices

Portland's Official Festival unveiled its 'Rose Spirit' in a series of collectable artwork at the newly renovated and renamed Rose Building (located in Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park). Invited guests and media were introduced to the 2010 Rose Festival collectors pin, the colorful 2010 themed poster and the festival's winning wine label art.
Christopher Francis Bibby is the Portland Rose Festival Poster Artist for 2010. Christopher spent his early twenties developing and honing the distinctive patterns and patchwork designs that would become his signature. Bibby's work has been featured in galleries and showrooms throughout Oregon and the U.K. (including the Portland Art Museum Rental Sales Gallery, Dragonfly Gallery, Mary Lou Zeek Gallery, Portico, Edinburgh Arts and Art Forum). Winner of the 2010 Portland Rose Festival Oak Knoll Wine Label is artist NAME REMOVED BY REQUEST. NOT NAMED is a student and practicing illustrator from Los Angeles, California, currently working on a degree from the Oregon College of Art and Craft. This year's Rose Festival Collectors Series wines (both Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris) are special custom blends that won't be available anywhere else. 200 cases of each varietals from Oak Knoll were produced exclusively for the 2010 Rose Festival Celebration. Oak Knoll Winery owner Ron Vuyisteke presented President Robert Hansen with the first bottle.
